Denan Kemp had just signed to leave the Broncos, but you wouldn’t have guessed it as he tore Suncorp Stadium apart with four tries, including a stunning match-winner in Brisbane’s 30–26 comeback victory over Parramatta in Round 12, 2008.
Down 10–0 early, the Broncos clawed their way back with Kemp producing a clinic in finishing, equalling the club record for most tries in a game.
When the match hung in the balance at 26-all, Darren Lockyer delivered the decisive moment: with the siren blaring, he chipped perfectly behind the line for a flying Kemp, who gathered at pace and beat three defenders to dive over in the corner and seal one of the season’s most dramatic wins.!
